I am fixing to test some sheet film using Phil Davis's method of
flashing the film under the enlarger light with a step tablet on it.
But the directions in his book say to "adjust the enlarger height
until the focussed light gives you a reading of 4 EV when the meter
is set at ISO 100 and the aperture at f/11. This arrangement should
provide sufficient light intensity for testing ISO 100 films with an
exposure time of 2/5 second."

But what if you are testing higher speed films? Should you fix the
enlarger so that the light gives a reading of 4EV when the meter is
set at 320 or 400?
