I have both. Precision Digital Negatives is more current and introduces
a very interesting and efficient method for making digital negatives
using color inks.

Some links to articles on making digital negatives: (an article by David Fokos) (an article by Charles Palmer)
Both of these articles are nice despite being a little bit outdated.
Both concentrate on imagesetter negatives but most of the principles are
also applicable to inkjet negatives. It would be highly beneficial to
read them.

I instantly remembered you name - from alternativephotography site. Do
you teach at Biskops Arnö (or do private lessons)? If you teach at
