Grady,

You need the -e option to echo: echo -e "Hello\tChris" worked for me.

Subject: [ale] RH 7.2 Echo

In a writing a shell script I discovered that \t will
not return a tab to
the ECHO output. The ECHO man page indicates this is
the correct parameter.
Does anyone know how to fix this problem?
Thanks in Advance,
Jay
