What it the right way?
- first apply curve then invert the picture or
- invert the picture and then apply the curve?

I know that you get different negatives with the two.

I have a curve for cyano, but, as others have pointed out, it probably won't
work for your combination of chemicals, paper, UV exposure, negative
material etc. Contact me off list.
