Hello Nick and Mark,
Not if you only use the grey inks. I'm using MIS Ultratone greys (a mix
from the quad and the hex sets) with QuadToneRip in an Epson 1160 for
gum and cyanotype negatives. For the longer scale techniques you
defenitely need a spectral density negative. The real problem with quad
black inks lies in the black ink.
