I just posted how to make it. That type of gelatin is usually called
"phthalated gelatin." A related gelatin using trimellitic anhydride
in place of phthalic anhydride is even better.

This type of gelatin is used in manufacturing of silver gelatin
emulsions, so photographic gelatin suppliers like Gelita, Kind and
Knox, Eastman Gelatine, Nitta Gelatin, Nippi Gelatin, and other
companies should make them.
