Yes,
I have a ref that says 2.5 to 5x depending....

However I did not mean exposure time... I meant rather
processing (development) time.

(I will examine both pH and the Russian developer you
mentioned.)

I know of one specfic case where the physically developed
grain size does appear to be limited by the grain size of
the initial emulsion. (This is good for getting small
clusters!)
