Welcome to GEEKS!

Geeks is a list for... well.. geeks to share geeky,
technical humor that their non-geek friends and
cow-orkers might not get. All geeky postings are welcome,
as long as it fits this framework:

-It's technical.
-It's funny.
-Use of the words "cyber" or "Information Superhighway" 
 is verboten.

We prefer jokes with a UNIX or Internet slant to them. This
list isn't exactly filled with Windows users. Most of the 
people on the list are UNIX programmers or SysAdmins.

Please keep in mind that there are over 700 people 
subscribed to geeks. Help make this a funny place.

-Watch traffic on the list before posting. "DEC Wars"
 is funny the first time around, but after reading it
 fifty times, it's pretty annoying.
-We're all geeks here. There's no need for "I'm geekier
 than you are" followups.. unless they're really funny.

Geeks is moderated. There will be an unmoderated version 
in the future. This means that submissions sent to the list
won't go out immediately. They may not go out at all.
The goal is to keep this a low-volume, high-content list.
